What Does the Bible Say About Aliens and UFOs?

Aliens have been a hot topic in modern culture for many decades. With the introduction of the theory of evolution, and the following development of the theory of abiogenesis. Many people hold to outdated scientific interpretations, and oftentimes a misrepresentation of evidence. Most research on the origins of life is blown way out of proportion and imposes a very illusive feeling of validity and breakthrough on the layman. Thus, many people see no reason why life developing on another planet is very unlikely. But I am not here to discuss abiogenesis in detail, that has already been done here: https://www.ptequestionstoeden.com/blog/categories/abiogenesis-exposed. What I will discuss today is whether UFOs and the idea of aliens jive with the Bible and a Christian worldview.
An Unidentified Flying Object (UFO) is a mysterious object or phenomenon seen in the sky for which no immediate explanation can be created. So a UFO does not immediately mean a rotating disc with little green men inside; it can simply be an object that you can not identify. In fact, in 2024, there were 700 reported UFOs or Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena, most of which were later identified to be balloons, birds, etc. (https://www.war.gov/News/Releases/Release/Article/3964824/department-of-defense-releases-the-annual-report-on-unidentified-anomalous-phen/#:~:text=The%20All%2DDomain%20Anomaly%20Resolution%20Office%20is%20leading%20DOD's%20efforts,anomalous%20phenomena). But the UFOs I am speaking about here are those objects and phenomena observed and recorded that exhibit characteristics that defy known physical laws. Moreover, the government has recently opened up about its own knowledge of them. Witnesses have appeared in Congress to talk about exactly that. What are these objects? Are they alien technology from another star system? Are they spiritual entities? What about abduction stories?
Most of these objects are natural, as stated. However, the recent historical development of public obsession with alien UFOs has led to the "flying saucer" interpretation and a strong commitment to it. A small portion of these reports clearly defies physics and common sense, behaving like non-physical phenomena. In other words, events that seem to supersede the laws of physics, or more simply, supernatural phenomena. So, are these really from another galaxy? If life can start here, why can't it do the same elsewhere in the universe? What does the Bible have to say about this?
Likelihood of Life Elsewhere
For most people, the postulation of aliens seems almost common sense. The postulation of aliens in a fashion such as, "If life can form here, why can't it form elsewhere," simply misunderstands the naturalistic theory of the origin of life (for an in-depth discussion on abiogenesis, check out the link in the first paragraph). This misunderstanding is not their fault; the public scientific community is full of exaggerated reports of research papers that utilize the fact that a layman usually does not have the expertise or time to examine them himself. So let us take a look at some issues with positing alien life forms as a reasonable probability because they are far from it... Possible, yes; but reasonably probable, absolutely not. Especially in light of God's word.
The Goldilocks Zone
The Earth resides in a location known as the Goldilocks Zone. It is a very narrow and rare environment in the universe that enables life to thrive. The zone does not meet the requirements for life to originate naturally, as we will shortly see; it only allows life to thrive once it has already begun. Earth is the perfect size and mass, allowing for the force of gravity to be balanced for life. It's not too strong and not too weak; it allows for an atmosphere and a liquid core to produce a magnetic field. Our solar system is also set up with an interplanetary defense system known as Jupiter. It protects the Earth from comets and asteroids by redirecting them with its immense gravitational field. Our sun is also at the right distance away and at the right period of its lifespan to produce the right amount of radiation for livable temperatures. Earth has the correct gas ratio in the atmosphere, with a majority of oxygen, necessary for humans to breathe. We also have a moon to cause tidal effects on the oceans for heat distribution across the planet.
Of course, more features can be added to this list, as well as several other areas of life that each one can benefit, but I think my point has been made. To our current knowledge, there is no other place in the universe like this, and no Earth-like exoplanets have been discovered. And the fine-tuning of the physical laws and initial conditions of the universe seems to be tuned with the goal of humans on Earth in mind. So this lays a blow on the notion that UFOs are aliens from outer space.
Extreme improbability of Natural Abiogenesis
The first place to start is the fact that DNA contains digital information. Before you question, this does not mean that cells are made of circuits; it refers to the nature of the information within DNA, that of a four-character digit-based alphabet. This begins with understanding analog and digital signals.
An Analog Signal is continuous and fluctuates within a range, while a Digital Signal consists of discrete values, like binary code with ones and zeros. Digital information is distinct and patterned, similar to writing, where values are represented as characters. On February 28, 1953, James Watson and Francis Crick discovered DNA's double-helix structure. DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) contains genetic information using a four-character digital code: Adenine (A), Thymine (T), Cytosine (C), and Guanine (G). These nucleotide bases form a specific sequence along DNA's backbone, functioning like letters in a code that directs the construction of spatially functional biomolecules, polypeptides, polysaccharides, nucleic acids, and phospholipids. Crick's Sequence Hypothesis further developed this idea, equating nucleotide sequences to digital characters in binary code.
By the late 1960s, experiments confirmed the Sequence Hypothesis, showing how DNA stores and processes information for cellular functions. When I refer to DNA's digital nature, I mean its four-digit, letter-based information system, not electronic components.
We can now move on to a brief overview of some of the issues with abiogenesis. Each cell in your body consists of smaller macromolecules, large complex molecules made from simpler molecules. A molecule is a group of atoms bonded by chemical bonds. Atoms, the smallest unit of matter, form molecules that combine into four main categories of macromolecules essential for cells. For Abiogenesis to be true, certain molecules and events must occur:
There must be a mass presence of Carbon in the universe. Carbon is vital for life, forming stable bonds with elements like Hydrogen, Nitrogen, Sulfur, and Phosphorus. It is crucial for building life-friendly macromolecules. Carbon is essential for forming Amino Acids and Nucleotides. In amino acids, carbon serves as the central support of their structure. Carbon is also necessary for forming Nucleotides, the building blocks of DNA and RNA. Monomers, or the molecules that hook in long chains, must link in 100% homochirality (handedness), or proteins cannot function. Mixed-handedness in polymers renders them useless to life.
Homochiral means that the molecules present are all of a single handedness. Natural reactions produce racemic mixtures, or a mix of left and right-handed molecules that would interact with each other if not controlled by a chemist. Thus, there are no natural reactions that can produce homochiral molecules. Homochiral amino acids form sequences that fold into Proteins. These proteins, made of peptides (short sequences of amino acids), perform various functions in a cell. All life uses the same set of twenty amino acids. Proteins are categorized as structural, functional, and regulatory, each serving specific roles in the cell. ATP Synthase is an enzyme complex that manufactures ATP, the cell's main energy source.
Nitrogen bases bond with carbon sugars to form Nucleosides, and with phosphate, they become Nucleotides. These form DNA and RNA, the carriers of genetic information. Nucleotides form Nucleic Acids, DNA and RNA, which guide protein construction. DNA is a large macromolecule with a helix backbone made of phosphates and sugars, wth the center nitrogen bases carrying the information.
Lipids, primarily phospholipids, form cell membranes. They consist of a phosphate group, glycerol, and fatty acids. Phospholipids self-assemble into bilayers, crucial for cell stability. Differences in lipid configurations between bacteria and archaea raise questions in Abiogenesis. Abiogenesis experiments show challenges in forming life-friendly phospholipids. All macromolecules must form in pure homochirality for life to start. Polymerization must occur in water, but water encourages thermodynamic equilibrium, preventing successful, consecutive polymerization. Abiogenesis experiments of polymerization in water perform the polymerization within an air pocket in the water, a very dishonest presentation of the actual research. The appearance of genetic information suggests a source, as empirical evidence shows information originates from minds.
Moreover, mathematician William Dembski's Design Inference suggests recognizing intelligent agency through improbable events with recognizable patterns. For example, Mount Rushmore's faces indicate intelligent design due to their specific, complex, and improbable patterns that we recognize every day, faces. DNA's genetic code resembles digital information, supporting the design inference. Its improbable nucleotide arrangement suggests an intelligent origin. The complexity of DNA's code, analogous to binary code, is essential for protein synthesis. The process involves RNA Polymerase 2, mRNA, tRNA, and ribosomes in a complex biological system.
You see, the information to build proteins is stored in the DNA molecule, which must be transcribed into mRNA for the information to be transferred to proteins. Here's the catch: A protein itself, an enzyme called a replisome (DNA and RNA Polymerases), does the transcribing to make mRNA, which itself must be made from the information found in DNA. But a protein is needed for proteins to be made. So, which came first? The DNA, or the enzymes? This giant chicken and egg problem has led Abiogenesis research to propose that RNA was the first molecule. They posit that some "self-replicating" RNA molecules randomly formed that competed for molecular stability, replicating the best ones until you have the code for a simple cell. But experiments with this reveal that RNA can only self-replicate about 10% of whatever length of nucleotides are present. To make this worse, that high 10% figure is with the aid of an enzyme, because RNA does not literally replicate by itself. All RNA World research has failed to construct the correct handedness in the correct concentrations, or even create the correct forms of ribose, the backbone carbon sugar used in RNA. Origins of Life research is at a halt, and the researchers always invoke the hand of God multiple times throughout their experiments by something they call "unwarranted investigator input". This is where the chemist has to perform the chemistry to move the molecules in a life-friendly direction. Without the chemists, the chemistry of Abiogenesis simply wouldn't happen. As far as their yields and results, an intelligent agent played a role in the creation of life.
Life did not randomly form here in a puddle. It is simply impossible chemically and mathematically. The above section is are short excerpt from the first two parts of my "What Caused Life" series linked in the first paragraph. In that series is a longer follow-up article going deeper into the sheer awesome probabilities for even a few biomonomers to occur through naturalistic processes.
The Interstellar Issue
We have now seen that life can't just appear by accident of the interaction of natural forces, but let's just entertain that for the sake of the argument. If life did exist elsewhere, you would still need an explanation for how they got here, and the acceptance of that possibility shows some ignorance on the topic as well. The closest star is about 4 light-years away, so the distance to travel is tremendous because that star has no Earth-like planets. The amount of resources required to travel here from that distance is simply unimaginable. Our best spacecraft (small robotic probes) would take hundreds of thousands of years to make that trip, and extrapolating that to a large-scale ship, the fuel needed is simply incomprehensible. I would say we would need more resources than the Earth alone can offer to travel there, and the materials needed to harvest fuel from other planets on a large scale seem extremely improbable before a species would go extinct.
The distance also poses a time issue: how will the passengers survive the time? But there's a much bigger issue with interstellar space travel. In the vacuum of space, there is high-energy radiation, alpha particles, atomic nuclei, and other particles that will bombard the ship and eventually destroy it. The larger the ship, the more people and fuel can be transported; the smaller the ship, the less fuel storage. The larger the ship, the bigger the target for high-energy particles; the smaller the ship, the fewer reinforcements means there is less to destroy. Increasing the speed will increase the force of the radiation impact on the ship; the slower the speed, the longer it takes to travel. There are simply too many factors preventing the feat.
Say we want to send a vast array of different spaceships to the closest star, Proxima Centauri, about 4.24 light-years away. As the ships travel, they will contact electrons, protons, atomic nuclei, radiation, and larger dust particles that will be actively destroying the vessels. The Breakthrough Starshot program plans to launch 1,000 gram-sized vessels to Alpha Centauri at about 4.3 light-years away. Their predictions only have a few making the trip, and arriving there in shambles. This reveals the extreme improbability of interstellar space travel being achieved, but of course, anything is possible, but not everything is reasonable. Let's now get back on the UFO topic, keeping this reality in mind, and the reliability of God's word.
These Are Not Material Objects
If you are a naturalist, that being there is nothing from which everything comes except matter and energy, then the only explanation you have is aliens. Indeed, if you reject the possibility of the supernatural, you may miss any indications that something is that. When focusing on UFOs, they simply cannot be physical objects and exhibit supernatural features, which those not bound to the laws of physics. They must be immaterial because they move in a way that implies they have no mass. There are far too many substantiated witness testimonies and records of UFOs.
The Roswell Incident of 1947 was a crashed aircraft discovered by the New Mexican rancher W.W. Brazel. His discovery of a recently crashed aircraft led to a military announcement that it was a flying disc, which was a popular depiction of alien spacecraft in the 1940s. There were previous sightings of saucer-like objects by Kenneth Arnold in the same year as the Roswell Incident. The military claimed that this was a flying saucer, which in the media of the time became associated with aliens. In July 1994, the Office of the Secretary of the Air Force conducted a thorough search for records on the Roswell Incident.
Initiated by a congressional request, the investigation sought to determine if the U.S. Air Force or any agency had data on the 1947 crash of the "extraterrestrial vehicle" near Roswell, New Mexico. The 1994 report concluded that the U.S. Air Force recovered debris from Project MOGUL, a balloon-borne research project. The report found that claims of "alien bodies" likely stemmed from unclassified Air Force scientific activities. Descriptions of bodies were linked to Air Force members killed or injured in duty. The report concluded that Air Force activities over many years were misinterpreted as occurring in July 1947. "Aliens" were anthropomorphic test dummies used in high-altitude balloon research. "Unusual" military activities were balloon launch and recovery operations. Claims of "alien bodies" at the Roswell hospital likely combined incidents from a 1956 aircraft accident and a 1959 balloon mishap involving Air Force personnel.
The reports' claims are fine, and other evidence supports the notion that the craft was man-made, like gears and other primitive mechanics. It was either an alien craft using human technology or an unknown craft created by a human nation. Could this have been a part of Operation Paperclip? You know, the government operation after WWII to smuggle Nazi scientists who worked for Hitler over to America to do research for the U.S.? These men worked on secret projects for Hitler, and the U.S. government brought them here to improve technology. So was the Roswell craft a plane we developed with the aid of these scientists? We know the Nazi's worked on wingless planes. It seems likely that the initial "alien" explanation was used to cover up Operation Paperclip and its results. There were UFO sightings before this incident, so it was the perfect alibi to hide the sin of giving these Nazi's a place in free society and science. There was simply no way the public would have reacted well to this information at that time period, so they released the information about Paperclip decades later, as per usual.
To establish the notion that these UFOs, or Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP), are immaterial objects, I must point out that they exhibit paradoxical behaviour. On one hand, they are detected on radar and video recording, so something is either producing light to be seen or reflecting light. Whistleblowers have said they leave traces on the ground from crashes, indicating energy was present. Plants are consistently burned, and the ground is torn up, with a crater, all consistent with a crash but with no debris left over. There is a crash site, but nothing visible in the area of the crash. These come from people who claim to have seen these sights, people involved in government like David Grush, ex-intelligence officer, and Luis Elizondo former Pentagon official who worked on these programs that investigated UAPs/UFOs. The term UAP is meant to distinguish the UFOs that exhibit the behaviour just mentioned.
On the other hand, the UAPs are recorded traveling at speeds from anywhere between 6,000 and 25,000 mph without producing sonic booms. By having multiple witnesses record these, we can determine a UAP's velocity and trajectory. There are also no heat trails or any signatures of the objects as they travel. This indicates that nothing with mass is interacting with the air. They make right-angle turns at these incredible speeds, implying a lack of material mass for the force of momentum and gravity to affect it. And they seem to materialize and dematerialize without a trace. They seem real in some aspects, but not real in others, with "real" here referring to anything governed by the laws of physics.
Interdimensional Flying Objects (IFOs)
An obvious question arises: are these UAPs the result of spiritual or biological intelligence? The Bible surely is not silent about this. It tells us that God created two different species of intelligent life forms. One life form is governed and immersed in the physical universe, that being mankind; the other is not bound by physical law, Angels and Demons. Heaven, where the bible depicts God as existing, is outside of space, time, and matter. Now that is not to say that God sits on a giant throne within Heaven, as He is not bound by space, but it serves as a good tool to intellectually digest the idea, keeping that fact in consideration, of course. But there is another reality overlapping ours, that of the spiritual realm. In this place, a vast spiritual warfare is taking place that affects the material world.
"For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." (Ephesians 6:12)
Paul told the church in Ephesus that we are not fighting against material objects alone, but immaterial ideologies and philosophies. He also names another thing we fight against, the spiritual forces. This idea is corroborated by another event involving Elisha.
"And Elisha prayed, 'Open his eyes, Lord, so that he may see.' Then the Lord opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. As the enemy came down toward him, Elisha prayed to the Lord, 'Strike this army with blindness.' So he struck them with blindness, as Elisha had asked." (2 Kings 6:17-18)
In this passage, Elisha and his servant were facing the king of Syria in the city of Dothan. During this, Elisha prayed to God that He would allow his servant to see what was happening spiritually. When his eyes are opened, he sees a fleet of fiery chariots in the sky all around the army of Syria. Something is going on here to take note of. There were spiritual entities all around Elisha, but his servant could not see what was taking place. There, too, are such entities all around us today, and sometimes we are granted to see this by the grace and power of God. Not only are they just there, but they can interact with us and or the world. The chariots in 2 Kings 6 struck blindness upon the army of Syria between the realms. God is Spirit:
"God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” (John 4:24)
Josephus also records a UFO in The War of the Jews. He said there was a star resembling a sword over Jerusalem with a comet that continued for a year. This comet may have been Halley's Comet, which first appeared around A.D. 66. Josephus writes:
“Thus were the miserable people persuaded by these deceivers, and such as belied God himself; while they did not attend nor give credit to the signs that were so evident, and did so plainly foretell their future desolation, but, like men infatuated, without either eyes to see or minds to consider, did not regard the denunciations that God made to them. Thus, there was a star resembling a sword, which stood over the city, and a comet, that continued a whole year. Thus also before the Jews' rebellion, and before those commotions which preceded the war, when the people were come in great crowds to the feast of unleavened bread, on the eighth day of the month Xanthicus, [Nisan,] and at the ninth hour of the night, so great a light shone round the altar and the holy house, that it appeared to be bright day time; which lasted for half an hour.” (Josephus, The War of the Jews, 6.5.3)
Fun Fact: The Christians in Jerusalem in A.D. 70 remembered the words of Jesus to run to the hills when the abomination brings desolation to the temple in Matthew 24:15-28. When they did this, they survived the destruction of Jerusalem by the Romans, fulfilling Jesus' prophecy of coming destruction to the temple.
Josephus further writes about a great light in the sky:
“Besides these, a few days after that feast, on the one and twentieth day of the month Artemisius, [Jyar,] a certain prodigious and incredible phenomenon appeared: I suppose the account of it would seem to be a fable, were it not related by those that saw it, and were not the events that followed it of so considerable a nature as to deserve such signals; for, before sun-setting, chariots and troops of soldiers in their armor were seen running about among the clouds, and surrounding of cities.” (Josephus, The War of the Jews, 6.5.3)
He records bright objects in the sky that the people interpreted as chariots and soldiers, or maybe they saw chariots. These UFOs do not seem to exist solely in this realm, but disappear as if switching between the material world and the spiritual one. They seem like they are interdimensional and not fully material or subject ot physical laws. They make extremely sharp turns at high speeds; they simply violate just about every law of physics. It's almost like no force, such as movement, affects these beings.
Classic Abduction Syndrome and What It Can Tell Us
So far, we have covered the probability of alien life and the possible nature of UFOs. There is one more thing I want to mention, that being what is known as Classic Abduction Syndrome (CAS). These are testimonies about making contact with aliens, but the memories of the events have to be resurfaced. Usually, memories and recountings of abductions are done by hypnosis or by penetrating questions. The same thing is done for people who claim to have experienced a near-death experience (NDE). By asking the right questions, someone can jog a person's memory of the event. From these recountings of the events, CAS was born. CAS cases usually happen at night while people are sleeping, watching TV, driving, or doing other evening activities, when all of a sudden a bright light appears. The person's memory then goes black, they wake up, and do not remember what happened. Thus, the hypnosis or an event triggers the memories to resurface, becoming consciously known.
The abductee is usually paralyzed and levitated up and out of wherever they are inside of this bright light. Some people even claim to pass right through walls, roofs, and other material barriers (very similar to NDEs). The "aliens" then either appear or arrive by passing through objects or simply walking up to them. The abductee is then brought to their ship, where more "aliens" reside. The beings then experiment on them with primitive tools similar to human medical supplies instead of foreign technology (why are they using human instruments when they have the tech to travel here?). Abductees are then told that the aliens' intentions are all good and that they want to help the person, along with other outlandish claims. They often say they created life, Jesus not being God, and that he was sent by them, that humans are either gods or enlightened creatures, and other new-age doctrines. Oftentimes, they appear as celebrities, important people, or family members in order to gain a person's trust. Some encounters either start badly or end badly with intense feelings of fear and doom; the person almost always then recognizes these beings are not good and were trying to deceive them.
And the appearance of the "aliens" differs depending on the region. In America, aliens are described as small, skinny, hairless, and grey. In European regions, they are tall, slender, blonde, blue-eyed, and Nordic-looking, pretty much like Raiden from Metal Gear. South America has many different ones, such as large heads, red eyes, often hairy, all the way to wearing boots with elongated heads and yellow eyes. Asia's common reports describe them as tall, silvery humanoids. Finally, in Eurasian areas, they have three eyes, small heads, and some wear silver overalls and boots. If these were an alien species, why do their appearances differ based on region? It seems to me that these entities have been around for a long time, studying humanity, and thus knowing what would evoke the most fear or awe, depending on the region. Something spiritual in nature, able to change form in the material. Or maybe they are part of an intergalactic force made up of many different alien species, all working together to rule the cosmos!
Effects of CAS
The people who go through these experiences almost always come out of it with changed philosophies, worldviews, and interests. The majority of the abductees come out with a newfound interest in new-age paganism, occult practices, the spiritual,/esoteric religions, and cult activities. Most of them have also dabbled in occult activities before the event, and come out much more willing to accept it (1). In Brad Steiger's book The Fellowship, he mentions being contacted by an alien life form that called herself Samjase (Samhazeh). Aliens by the same name have also visited ufologist Bill Meier and Dr. Fred Bell. Interestingly enough, this name Samjase, or Samyaza, is the exact name of one of the leaders of the "watchers" in the book of Enoch. Fred Bell explicitly mentions that these aliens told him that they can live for several thousand years (2). She told these three men that the Bible is corrupted and makes apocalyptic predictions right out of the book of Revelation. They came into contact with a very Anti-biblical entity, and came out of the experience anti-biblical and secular/new-age.
Samyaza is the name of one of the leaders of the Watchers in the Book of Enoch:
And it came to pass, when the sons of men had increased, that in those days there were born to them fair and beautiful daughters. And the Angels, the sons of Heaven, saw them and desired them. And they said to one another: “Come, let us choose for ourselves wives, from the children of men, and let us beget, for ourselves, children.” And Semyaza, who was their leader, said to them: “I fear that you may not wish this deed to be done and that I alone will pay for this great sin.” (1 Enoch 6:1-3)
This passage of Enoch resembles Genesis chapter 6: 1-2:
"When human beings began to increase in number on the earth and daughters were born to them, the sons of God saw that the daughters of humans were beautiful, and they married any of them they chose." (Genesis 6:1-2)
Samjaze/Samyaza was the leader of the watchers, what the Bible calls the "sons of God" in Genesis 6. They went on to father the Nephilim in Genesis 6:4, spiritual and human hybrids. There is an interpretation that demons are the angels that fell with satan and the dead spirits of the Nephilim. It does not make much of a difference to me if 1, this interpretation is true or false, or 2, if this alien has had this name, or decided to choose it based on the modern obsession with pseudographical and non-canonical texts. Which would further deceive these three men on a path away from the Truth of Jesus, instead desiring contact with these "aliens".
Now, the Book of Enoch was not some book of the Bible that was removed; it was never part of the canon. It was a known pseudepigraphal document, meaning it was written by an unknown author attributed to someone who is already too dead to write it. Credible authorship was a requisite for entering canon, and a lot of the "lost" books are just that, documents attributed to people too dead to write them. But the book itself is useful, and was preserved by some Jewish sects like the Essenes, but again, it was never part of the original inspired canon. The canon of the Old and New Testaments was not decided but recognized.
When we assemble the pieces, we can make a sobering conclusion about these experiences. Dabbling in the occult is a prerequisite for encountering or entering a classic abduction case, and these experiences intensify these feelings and interests. These beings have been around for a long time and exhibit names of demons from ancient writings. CAS is the result of the active spiritual warfare that is going on all around us today. They spread obvious, and easily debunked lies that humans can be saved from death or transformed into them; become more spiritually advanced and enlightened through accult practice; may become like them, the creators of human life; and that the only untrue worldview is the Christian one, all others are true and lead to enlightenment.
"Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, 'Did God really say, You must not eat from any tree in the garden?' The woman said to the serpent, 'We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, but God did say, You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.' 'You will not certainly die,' the serpent said to the woman. 'For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.' (Genesis 3:1-5)
Of course, these lies are nothing new. It is a lie that has been around since the dawn of man; it has just swapped costumes over the ages, and sometimes it can have more than one outfit on, like today. The Bible is obviously not corrupted. We have manuscripts from the generation after Jesus of portions of the New Testament that are the same as we have today, along with 25,000+ manuscripts alone to trace back the original text. We cannot become God, because by definition, how can an extended, finite body become an infinite and immaterial entity? Even the aliens themselves are not God by any measure, and will never become God. If they truly were God, then why are there different, unique aliens? God, by definition, is infinite and therefore is one, so why are there more than one "God" contacting these abductees? Their claims make no sense, and it is up to us to defend the truth and free these people from the strongholds that have trapped them in. Through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
The Contactee Movement
In the 50s, many people began claiming to have seen UFOs in the sky that they could not identify, or had been contacted by them. These people were often told by these aliens that Jesus was an alien, or that certain people are alien souls in human bodies called "star seeds," who created life and will save humanity by making us like them. The movement hijacked and used a lot of Christian terminology, which was appropriate to the times, when liberal theology had pretty much torn theology from reason in the universities, thus stripping Christian terms of their original theological meaning. This term-hijacking method is extremely similar to the many Christian cults like the Latter-day Saints, Jehovah's Witnesses, Church of Christian Science, etc. They use terms and words that have emotional connotation, often Christian doctrinal terms. Since the public masses are mostly biblically illiterate, they hear these terms and become incapacitated in whatever movement is being presented.
By using words that are familiar, but not totally recognized, they draw people in to what they will eventually come to believe as a truly spiritually enlightening and salvific experience. None of these claims is substantiated by any known historical, scientific, or archeological evidence. Appealing to aliens also pushes the issue of where life came from to an entirely different realm of irrationality and the "dulling of Ockham's Razor."
"The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God." (2 Corinthians 4:4)
We know, because God has revealed to us, that satan deceives people by leading them into false philosophies, and/or to deny reason itself. By denying the only tool God gave them for general revelation, they willingly amputate their ability to recognize the prime logic, the logos, Jesus Christ.

What Stops An Abduction?
Probably the most notable feature of CAS cases is the only way that they can only stop. Most of the time, the only thing in reports of abductions guaranteed to stop the event is to call out in the name of Jesus Christ (3). Joseph Jordan, president of the CE4 Research Group, ex-MUFON State Section Director, and UFO Network Field Investigator, tells us that in all of the CAS cases he has observed, calling out in Jesus' name was the only thing that was guaranteed to stop them.
Joseph Jordan, who began his journey as a "crystal-ball-rolling new-ager," became intrigued by UFOs and alien-abduction stories. This interest led him to believe that aliens were guiding humanity toward a new era of enlightenment, a spirituality devoid of the biblical Creator. As Jordan delved deeper into investigating UAPs, he and a colleague established CE4 Research to explore the more unusual reports. During these investigations, a pivotal moment occurred when he encountered cases so unsettling that a Christian friend introduced him to the gospel. He repented, embraced Christianity, and started interpreting the UFO phenomenon through a biblical perspective. Jordan firmly believes that the phenomenon is not extraterrestrial encounters but a spiritual deception disguised as alien contact. He references numerous cases (over 400) where individuals experiencing an alleged abduction reported that when they called out "Jesus, help me!" or worshipped Christ, the phenomenon ceased.
Jordan's colleague, Gary Bates, notes that Christians often assume that if intelligent extraterrestrial life exists, it must have been created by God. However, Jordan and Bates contend that this assumption undermines the gospel and the biblical narrative of creation, the fall, and redemption. Bates argues that only the Creator God of the Bible provides a coherent understanding of both our cosmic origin and the deceptive spiritual aspect behind these experiences. They are not Aliens. On their website, stopalienabduction.com, they have a short article about the three main causes of the abduction experience. The first is that you asked for it, in that some people are actively looking for these experiences; the second being that somebody accidentally opened themselves up to the experience through new-age pagan/occult practices; and the third being that you are part of a generational spiritual attachment, or a "curse". You need God's protection from these spiritual influences.
The CE4 Research Group concludes their research: "Through the research into the case testimonies, it was found that some of the experiencers were able to stop or terminate the experience. There was a recognized commonality in the method that was used among the Christian experiencers. The experience was shown to be able to be stopped or terminated by calling on the name and authority of JESUS CHRIST. Not as a magic word but by their allegiance to and personal relationship with Him." They also have a page on their website where you can read some CAS case testimonies. For example, the testimony of Kelly, who was raised in occult practices and rituals with her Grandfather, and when visited by an alien, ended the experience by calling on Jesus and having the being leave her angrily. There have been more people who have had this event stop by the name of Jesus, so why would technologically advanced and evolved aliens use primitive surgical tools to deceive humans by posing as other people, tell them they are the real gods, and that Jesus is not, and then retreat only to the name of the very person they deny, Jesus Christ? It makes no sense, only when you look at it through a Biblical worldview do the lines begin to connect. Satan is a liar, and the father of them, and he is willing to do any and all in his ability to prevent people from reaching fellowship with their creator.
This Is Spiritual Warfare!
The Christian worldview offers the only adequate explanation for the nature of CAS cases and UAPs. There is another dimension or realm where spiritual entities called angels inhabit. They can interact with us and the material world, and deceive people into harmful practices and beliefs. They are demonic, fallen spiritual beings. We are in a constant spiritual warfare.
"For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." (Ephesians 6:12)
We do not battle against flesh, but against immaterial agents of influence. Against principalities, powers, rulers of the darkness, and against spiritual wickedness in the heavenly realm. In this era of mass information and relative philosophies, and the world of active spiritual warfare for people's eternal lives: Gird yourself with an objective "true truth," put on the breastplate of God's standard of righteousness (Ephesians 6:14), strap on the boots of discipline and preparation (v15), wild the shield of faith and praise in God's promises (v16), put on the helmet of Jesus' Salvation and Gospel message, and pick up the sword of the Holy Spirit to deliver the word, sharper than any two-edged sword (v17). And in the words of Jesus, "test the spirits to see whether they are from God."
"Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world." (1 John 4:1)
